CANNON DOWNRIGGERS: THIS IS WHY WE RUN
YEARS OF GETTING TO WHERE THE FISH ARE
FISHING IS OUR PASSION, AND IT RUNS DEEP
There’s no faking passion: you either have it or you don’t. At Cannon, our love of fishing is only matched by our passion for building unstoppable downriggers, rod holders, mounting systems and all the gear you need to put more fish on deck. Nothing works harder, nothing works smarter, and nothing is built tougher than a Cannon. So if you’re all about fishing and getting more from every moment on the water, you’re in the right place.

DESIGNED TO PERFORM. BUILT TO DOMINATE.
When you’re facing down forces as unforgiving as water, wind and rain, your downrigger better be up for the challenge. That’s why we design and build every Cannon downrigger to take a pounding and still come out on top. Of course, what happens on your boat doesn’t hold a candle to what we do in the factory. Our testing is brutal, but it’s the only way to make sure your Cannon downrigger is ready to dominate on the water.
IF YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW
Like we said, we build Cannon downriggers to absolutely dominate, and the people who use them push them to the limits. Check out some of the folks who are having a blast with their Cannons.

IT SOUNDS LIKE A FISH STORY
Back in 1979, two friends and avid salmon anglers — Jack King and Jim Swinehart — decided to solve a unique problem: how to get more salmon out of the water and into their boat. Their solution? The very first Cannon downrigger. Today, Cannon downriggers are part of the Johnson Outdoors family, and they’ve evolved into high-tech tools that push the innovation envelope. Yet some things haven’t changed: they’re still made the right way, by people who love the sport every bit as much as you do, and they’re still helping anglers bring in more fish than ever.
